List of High Marshals and Timeline

Hi all,

something else that I thought of last night was the inclusion of a list of High Marshal and a timeline thread to keep track of slotting the Crusades into order and suchlike as well as listing other major incidents around the universe.

Both the timeline and the list of High Marshals would assist in helping people flesh out the individual crusades whilst maintaing consistancy. For example if we knew that Ned Biggins was the High Marshal such and such date to such and such date then all Crusades that fell into the time slot would have been raised and dispatched by that particular marshal.

Also the fleshing can include little cross over links to other Crusades and events throughout the Imperium.

Just a thought.

Are the volumes of Imperial Armour considered canon? I ran across the following info while perusing volume 2.

Yes I would consider IA canon, what does everyone else think?

that's a nice tid bit of information, those little things can make the fluff that more interesting when you know that you have a Dreadnought with an ex high Marshal running around.

Now what about White Dwarf? Do we also take that as canon?

I'm somewhat eager to get the ball rolling, at least to make sure that canon information is properly included. Unless I hear something to the contrary I may start posting responses to existing threads with canon info.

Again I would say that WD is canon, as it is a publication of GW and I am pretty sure that a good number of Crusades have been mentioned in there and no where else.

In the events of contradiction from one source to another, we will try to find the most accomodating version (that which matches up and fits in with other canon info) and use it as the core. the conflicting versions will still be included in some way, most likely side notes as reports from the Inquisition or suchlike.

Please by all means start populating!

I just finished cleaning up a lot of my own notes, double-checking them for accuracy. I'll start populating the crusades with canonical information.

One thing I think might be necessary, is a thread that lists all the crusades in a semblance of chronological order with active links to existing threads. Right now all we have is just a giant list without a semblance of order. Is this something already being planned for?

It is now, great idea.

I can start a thread in the Draft folder and start setting up links and we can start shuffling the Crusades around as we figure out their chronological order.

I will set one up and let me know what you think and if that was what you were meaning.

I think IA should count as cannon, as well. Every little bit of fluff we can find will help.
